Sometimes when a kind of crazy idea pops into your head, it's best to ignore it. But sometimes it's even better to just go for it. Less than two weeks before Thanksgiving I was feeling particularly inspired and thought to myself, "Hey wouldn't it be fun to get a bunch of local lady bosses in the wedding industry together for a styled shoot that we actually get to enjoy instead of just look at for once?!" and the Friendors-Giving shoot was born. I immediately texted Kate of Kate Murtaugh Events + Design, another planner that I'd already been dying to collaborate with. Much to my absolute joy, she said "yes" without hesitation and we met up the next day to make it happen!

We knew we had our work cut out for us - we needed to find a venue, photographers, and other contributors in less than a week to give us time for at least some of the photos to be in our hands before Thanksgiving. A few phone calls, a lot of emails later, and a little bit of panicking later, we had assembled the most talented team (listed at the very bottom of this page) to make it happen.

And wow. Wow, wow, wow. The way in which this shoot came together so quickly and so incredibly was even more wonderful than I could have imagined. I was absolutely giddy the entire day as I watched old and new friends come together to do what they do best - create something beautiful. From knitwear to cocktails to stationery to style and everything in between, these ladies absolutely killed it. To get to see this day come to life while celebrating the ways in which we support and encourage one another all year was an absolute dream. I practically needed to pinch myself!

It is with nothing but the sincerest pleasure that I share these photos from Meredith Jane Photography and Madeline Rose Photo with you now - the product of true collaboration, friendship, and a little bit of magic. This was the very best day.
